We exist to help founders build category-defining subscription companies.
Appscalar was founded with a narrow conviction: that subscription apps deserve a different kind of growth partner. Not a media buyer. Not a creative agency. A growth studio that thinks about the entire system — from the first impression to the fifth annual renewal — and builds the practice around the founders behind these companies.
Our work is quiet, deliberate, and outcome-led. The brief is always the same: compound the business.
II. Why Subscription Apps
Subscription economics reward depth, not breadth.
We chose to specialize because subscription companies operate by a different logic. Trial mechanics, cohort retention, paywall design, price elasticity, ASO, and SKAdNetwork constraints — these are not transferable from e-commerce or B2B SaaS. They require their own playbook, their own benchmarks, and their own muscle memory.
Working only with subscription apps lets us be opinionated where it counts.
III. Growth Philosophy
Meta ads only scale when the downstream funnel is optimized.
Most teams optimize the auction and ignore the funnel beneath it. We work in the opposite direction: tune the system from the bottom up — pricing, paywall, onboarding, trial — and the campaigns become tractable.
Our engagements always begin with diagnosis, not deliverables. We earn the right to recommend.

We are operating in a transition window. The teams that compound the fastest in the next five years will pair experienced operators with bespoke AI systems for creative production, ASO, analysis, and experimentation. We are building this internally and porting the practice to our partners.

Before this studio, we ran growth at category-leading apps and scaled accounts that have collectively deployed nine figures of paid spend.
